The Buckinghamshire Railway Centre is actually a working heritage railway museum set in 25 acres of countryside near Quainton. The venue centre is glass-roofed providing natural light onto a spacious platform surrounded by vintage steam trains and memorabilia, so it’s full of great photo opportunities ideal for a wedding. And perfect for video, here are some highlights.
I hadn’t met Morgana and Michael before the day because having a video was a last minute decision. However I heard all about them from Morgana’s photographer and godfather Dennis Orchard. He is not only a good friend of mine but is a legendary award winning wedding photographer who I have worked with many times. As usual we had lots of fun covering the wedding and Morgana and Michael were keen to help us make the most of the sunny day and wonderful setting.
After the ceremony and confetti the guests were all treated to a short ride on one of the steam trains. Of course I had to join them. As you can see in the highlights montage everyone was having a great time.
Morgana and Michael joined Dennis and myself for a few minutes to film and photograph them exploring the old station and footbridge. A passing goods train was a very noisy surprise!
With Dennis being part of the family I was lucky enough to join him at one of the tables for a lovely meal and chat with some of the relatives and friends. It pays to know the right people! Everyone was very friendly and by the time we had finished after some of the dancing I felt like one of the family.
As usual I am very pleased to report that Morgana, Michael and family all love the video.
